The shift

From implementer to strategist

Early in my career, my job was to deliver systems. The turning point came when I noticed that launches which "succeeded" on paper did not always change the business. The technology worked; the outcomes did not always follow. That changed how I lead. I stopped starting with technology, and started with the people and the decisions it was meant to serve. It is the difference between shipping a project and creating value, and it shapes everything I do now.
